Enjoy. Let's go back in time. Today's expression. Ooh. A rat's nest. Do you live in a rat's nest? Is your room a rat's nest? Is your desk a rat's nest?
Is your hair a rat's nest? What is a rat's nest? Rat, R-A-T. You know, like a big mouse. Rats are pretty disgusting. Rats are the dirty ones. Not that mice are clean.
Anyway, a rat's, that's possessive S, rat's nest, N-E-S-T. And the nest, when we say nest, we usually think of a bird. A bird's nest is the home of...
that a bird makes and lives in. And rats also build nests, not in trees, but in other places. So a rat's nest is a rat's home. And in America, if you live in a rat's nest, that means your house is really, really dirty.
Check out the dialogue. I have to go to Eduardo's today. Oh, you don't sound too excited. No, his place is a rat's nest. Yuck. Oh, it can't be that bad.
Poor Eduardo. Don't worry, Eduardo. We know that your house is very clean. A rat's nest. Now, right now, my house is a rat's nest. I'm still getting ready for the movers.
And yeah, I got boxes and books and stuff laying everywhere. My house is a rat's nest. If a rat came to my house, the rat would say, oh, everything's ready for me.
Yeah, I know. It's pretty bad. Your hair can be a rat's nest too. My hair is very short. But sometimes when my hair gets a little bit long, if I don't wash my hair for two or three days and I wake up in the morning, my hair is a rat's nest.
Yeah. I will never show you my rat's nest. Yes, you must always believe that I'm always clean and that my house is always clean too. Even my desk right now, I'm looking at my desk.
It's a rat's nest. My desk drawer, it's a rat's nest. Yeah, it's pretty bad. I need to clean up. I'm moving. I have an excuse. What about you? Do you live in a rat's nest?
Is your room a rat's nest? That's it. Have a fantastic day, everybody. Check out the dialogue a couple more times. I have to go to Eduardo's today. Oh, you don't sound too excited.
