You name it. You name it. It's a great expression. What does it mean, you name it? You name it actually means whatever you want, whatever you'd like. So, for example, what do you want to have for lunch, Shane?

You name it. That means anything, whatever you want. You name it. Whatever. Whatever you want. Anything you want. Anything. Anything. It's a great expression.

You name it. When somebody asks you what you want, what you would like to do, and if you are open to anything, if anything is okay, you can say, you name it.

So another example. Let's say we go to the movie theater. And the movie theater has many different movies. They have this movie and that movie and this movie and that movie.

And you say to me, Shane, which movie do you want to see? You name it. Anything. Whatever you want. Doesn't matter to me. Whatever you want to watch, let's watch that.

It doesn't matter to me. Okay? Let's check out a dialogue. You want to name my cat? No, you name it. Hmm, what should I name it? Hmm, you name it. How about Shane?

Oh, what a great dialogue. Did you understand the dialogue? To name somebody or something is also a verb. It means to give something a name. So I have two cats.

I named the brown cat Minty and I named the brown and white cat Cass. I named my cats. I named both of my cats. I did. Not you. Did you name my cats? No, I did.

And when I named my cats, I had the freedom to name my cats anything. So listen carefully again. You want to name my cat? Would you like to give my cat a name?

No, you name it. No, you should give your cat a name. What should I name it? What name should I give the cat? Oh, you name it. Anything you want. Give any name you want to the cat.

How about Shane? Okay, what do you guys think? Do you think Shane is an okay name for a cat? Yeah, that's Minty right there. I think Minty likes the idea.

Minty, should I call you Shane? Huh? Should I call you Shane? Huh? I think that means no. She likes her name Minty. Yeah, you name it. It's a great expression.

So what do you want to do this weekend? You name it. Whatever you want. It's a great expression. Now remember, sometimes by saying you name it, people will get angry.

Do you know what I mean? Let's say you and I go for lunch and I say, what do you want to have for lunch today? Yeah, you name it. Okay, let's have tacos.

Okay. And then we go to lunch tomorrow. What do you want to have for lunch today? Eh, you name it. All right, let's have pizza. Okay. And then Wednesday.

What do you want to have for lunch today? Eh, you name it. Oh, come on. Have an opinion. Sometimes you need to choose something. You can't always say you name it, right?
