Great expression, if you have a secret. When you have a secret... You can use this expression. I do not have a secret. I have an announcement, and I talked about this before.

All right. A secret. What is the expression? EQ492. Check it out. Let's go back in time. Yesterday, we learned a great expression. Pass it on. Pass it along.

And today, you need this expression too. If you are passing a secret along. And the expression is, mum's the word. You don't say it loud. You don't say, mom's the word.

You don't do that. You say, mom's the word. Mom's the word. Mom's the word. Mom, M-U-M, is. Mom is the word. W-O-R-D. Mom is the word. If somebody asks you for the information, you say, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom.

You don't answer. It's secret information. Mom's the word. Mom is the word. Do you understand? So let me give you an example. Hey, did you hear that Coach Shane is actually British?

It's true. It's a secret. Mum's the word. Don't tell anybody else. It's a secret. Mum's the word. Shane is British. He's actually related to the Queen of England.

Mum's the word. Don't tell anybody. Oh, yeah. Do you have any secrets? Oh, I would love to hear your secrets. Would you like to hear some of my secrets?

Okay. All right. What is a secret of mine? Okay, here's a secret. You know how I always say I drink coffee? It's not true. It's actually hot chocolate.

Mum's the word. Mums the word. Don't tell anybody. Here's another one. My mom says she hates mushrooms. But the other day I made spaghetti sauce with lots of mushrooms in it.

But I chopped up the mushrooms so you cannot see them. And my mom asked me, are there mushrooms in this sauce? And I said, no. Don't say anything. Mums the word.

Mums the word. If my mom asks you, hey, did Shane put mushrooms in this sauce? You have to say, don't say anything. It's a secret, okay? Good. Please keep that secret.

Mom's the word. Let's listen to the dialogue. We're having a surprise birthday party for Brian on Friday. Awesome. Mom's the word, okay? Got it. So this is a very good expression.

Once again, mum's the word. So you tell somebody some secret information, but you don't want that information to go to other people. You say mum's the word.

Yesterday, you have some information. It could be secret information. And you want that information to go to somebody else? Pass it along. Pass it on.

But today, you want the information to stop at that person. You can say, mom's the word. Okay? Do you understand? They're very good expressions and they work together very nicely.

So what I want you guys to do, I want you to tell me your secrets. Oh, don't worry. Don't worry. You can tell me all your secrets and I promise mum's the word.
