easy english expression rehashed hello everybody my name is coach shane and welcome to easy english expressions come on let's master english Hello, everybody. Coach Shane here. How is your July?

It's July 2026 when I'm recording this. It is so hot and muggy. M-U-G-G-Y. That's like humid, a lot of water in the air. The air just doesn't move. I hope you're feeling fresh.

That's for sure. Actually, today's eCubed expression number 479 has fresh in the expression, but it doesn't mean, like, fresh air. It's a great expression. Check it out.

Let's go back in time. All right, today's expression, listen carefully. To be fresh out of something. I'm fresh out of ideas. I'm fresh out of humor. Okay, so what does this mean?

To be out of something means you don't have any more. So, for example, I am out of cookies. I do not have any cookies. I am out of bread. I do not have any bread.

I need to go to the store. To be fresh, F-R-E-S-H, out of something means... Suddenly, now you see, boom, there is none. To be fresh out of something means we are completely out and also it usually means we just ran out.

Like five minutes ago, the last cookie was eaten. This is the idea of fresh out of something. So once again, it has two kind of meanings to it. Number one is fresh.

completely out zero nothing and the other one is very recently you went out you ran out okay so it's a very great expression you can use it today but first let me give you a dialogue i'm going to the store great we're fresh out of milk anything else oh we could use some sugar and lettuce too

What a good husband. Now, usually when husbands say, I'm going to the store, it means they're going to buy beer. But he's offering his... delivery services to his wife so he's also going to be getting milk sugar and lettuce what a good husband uh the wife says we are fresh out of milk probably she just used the last of the milk so they're going to need some more milk and oh my god i think i am actually fresh out of milk how will i have my coffee in the morning

Oh, boy. I guess I could go to the store right now. Yeah. Oh, but wait. Oh, man, I'm fresh out of money. I don't have any money. I used my last $3 at the store earlier.

I bought some lettuce and now I have no cash. That means I have to go to the bank. Oh, well, I guess I just had better go to bed. Now, what about you?

Go to your refrigerator right now and look around. Find something that is almost gone and then eat it. And then you can tell yourself or your wife or your husband or your mom or your dad, hey, mom, we're fresh out of milk.

What are you talking about? There's milk in the refrigerator. No, mom, I just drank it. We're fresh out. There is no more. I just drank it. Mom, go buy milk.

And then your mom will tell you to go buy milk. To be fresh out of something. You are completely out of something or you just ran out of something. Look in your refrigerator.
