Today's expression is very good. Coming along. To come along. Now, this phrasal verb can actually have several meanings. So today we're going to focus on coming along, which means progressing.

progressing progress p-r-o-g-r-e-s-s to progress so the noun is progress the verb is progress and we also have the phrasal verb coming along okay so you might say to me coach shane you have an english business how is it progressing

And your question means, how is it going? Is it growing? Is it expanding? Is it doing okay? Are you making money? What's happening in your business? That's the idea.

And you can use the phrasal verb coming along. Now, in America, we love to use phrasal verbs. So even though we have a perfectly perfect verb like progress...

Still, in daily English, more people are going to say coming along. So you need to know phrasal verbs. You need to grow comfortable using phrasal verbs. It's very important.

So let me give you a couple of questions. So you are studying English, correct? Good. How is your English coming along? Are you advancing? Are you learning?

Is it easy? Is it difficult? Are you having fun? Is it stressful? How is your English coming along? I hope it's coming along nicely. I hope you're doing very well.

Let's say it's the weekend and you have a project. Maybe you're going to cook a big meal. Or maybe you're going to paint the house. Or maybe you're going to clean your room together.

So it's the weekend now and I'm going to say, how is your project coming along? How is the cooking coming along? How is the planning coming along? How is the painting coming along?

How is the cleaning coming along? This is such a useful expression. How is your project doing? How is it going? How is it progressing? Are you doing well?

Yep. When I was young, my parents were very strict. They were very – they really made me follow the rules. What about your parents? Did they do the same thing?

I think that's good. I think kids need discipline. Kids need to know what the rules are. I think it's important. So when I was young, if I wanted to meet my friends, have some fun or whatever, I had to finish my homework first.

Now, of course, sometimes there's just too much homework. But after an hour of homework, usually my mother would let me go out and play with my friends. In elementary school, I never had an hour of homework. But starting in middle school, especially in high school, oh, yeah, lots of homework.

Got to be serious in school. Sometimes I was serious. Sometimes I wasn't. Are you a student? How are your studies coming along? Are you doing well? Do you enjoy your teacher?

Do you enjoy your subjects? Do you enjoy your classes? I hope so. If you don't enjoy your classes, oh boy, it's really tough to progress. Yeah, it's not easy, I know.
