And today, we're going to have a short show today because I must go and take care of a baby girl. Little Mae-chan has got to be taken care of, and I'm taking care of her tonight. And didn't get much sleep last night. My wife didn't get much sleep.
So tonight we're trying to get a little extra sleep. So I'm going to take the baby a little early. So anyway. What this means is that we have a short show today.
So I was trying to think what to talk about today for just a short show, maybe 30 minutes today. And I thought, well, maybe your interview suggestions. I'm already getting some interview suggestions from you, the Effortless English family, supporters, fans, members.
So I thought I'd go ahead and just chat about that more and ask you for more suggestions. We can get a big, long list of people. Now, I was live on Instagram today, and I discussed this a little bit, so let me just repeat what I said on Instagram.
I'm looking to interview people. What kind of people do I want to interview? Number one, of course. Interesting people, people with interesting ideas, interesting and or useful ideas.
You know the kind of topics that I generally like, you know, health and fitness and simplicity and happiness and psychology and spirituality and financial freedom, right? These kind of things. So I'm looking for people who have interesting ideas. And I'm looking for people who are not super famous, okay?
Sometimes I'm getting some suggestions of very famous people, but I'm not going to interview famous people. A few reasons. Number one, it's difficult to get a hold of them. It's difficult to connect with them, right?
They're very busy. Lots of people want to talk to them. So they have assistants. You can't talk to them directly. You have to send a message to their assistant, and their assistant looks at their schedule, and they talk to the person, and it's just, it takes,
It takes forever, okay? Secondly, famous people already, everybody knows about them already. You can already watch their videos and read their books and you already know about them if they're really famous. So, for that reason also.
So... I'm looking for people who are very interesting and got great ideas, you know, but they are maybe not super famous. Like someone who's got a really great YouTube channel. You know, they're not on television, they're not in the newspaper, but they've got a great YouTube channel that's really interesting.
So we can, you know, we can kind of help share their information to more people. We can learn about some interesting people that maybe you don't know about. You know, you all know about Tony Robbins.
So... me interviewing Tony Robbins, there's really no point. I mean, I would love to talk to him, of course, personally, but for you, there's no point. He's on TV, he's constantly on things, constantly, tons of interviews he does.
So I'm looking for something, people who are not quite so famous, authors, people who've written books, people with interesting YouTube channels or bit shoot channels or that kind of thing.
Number two, they need to speak English, of course. They need to speak English well. They don't have to be native speakers, but they need to be fluent and they have to be understandable.
So they cannot have a very strong accent that's hard to understand because it doesn't help all of you practice and learn English. Effortless English is the name, so they need to speak English well.
Ideally native speakers, but occasionally... I'll interview someone who's not. Let's see. Number three, when you give me a suggestion, you need to send me their name and a link.
I need a link to their webpage or their book on Amazon or something or their... YouTube channel, something like that. Because I want to learn more about them. I have to decide, do I like this person?
Am I interested in interviewing them? And then I have to figure out how to contact them. I have to learn about them so I can ask them good questions. So for all these reasons, I need a name and a link.
And then finally, number four, where to suggest. I mean, you can suggest today here on Facebook, but generally Twitter or Gab. Twitter or Gab. Because that's the best place to send me an idea of someone you want me to talk to.
Alright, let's say hi to everyone. One second. Hello to our live people, as usual. Lots of people saying hello from lots of different places. Indonesia, Kerala, in India, Russia.
Hey, Vladislav. Good to see you. Evgenia, good to see you. Glauber, hey, how's it going? Ibrahim Kamal. Chris Kutt, following from Laos. Oh, nice. Somalia, France, Michelle.
Marianne, good to see you. So that's the familiar names, you know, our usual people saying hello. So good to see you. All right. So anyway, I'm going to do more interviews.
Acharya Ji will be back. We will, I will have him back next time to talk about meditation. He's already said he's willing to do it. He's, you know, he's happy to do more interviews, which is great.
And so we'll talk about to him about different topics. I'll have him back a few times. Um, And, you know, oh, someone else that I'm, I was just talking about this on Instagram today.
I forgot his name, but a Korean guy on Gab recommended. This guy has a YouTube channel called Snake Diet, which is an interesting name. Snake Diet, good marketing.
It's a memorable name. It's strange. Snake diet. So I thought, what is snake diet? Never heard of it. So I went and I've been watching his videos and he's fantastic.
Definitely, I hope I can get him to do an interview. I will contact him because his... Well, just the information is really good. He talks a lot. He's really about fasting, how to lose weight, how to use fasting to lose weight and keep a good body weight, good strength, just a healthy body.
Mostly fasting. He's very focused on fasting. He does talk also about exercise and how to use it with fasting. So that's really good. But the other thing that's really good is his personality, his style is really great.
He's super high energy and he's kind of aggressive and quite funny actually, quite funny. So he would be perfect. I would love to interview him. I'm actually, first I'm going to try his system first.
I'm fasting now using his system. His kind of... It's intermittent fasting is what most people call it. It's kind of partial fasting where you fast most of the day, eat one meal.
So you just eat one meal only and then all the rest of... It's like 23 hours of fasting basically per day. So I tried it. I just started it yesterday.
I'll let you know. I'd like to lose a few pounds. I've gained a little bit of fat eating badly. When the babies came, got stressed out, started eating a bunch of junk food, sugary stuff.
So he gained some, I don't know how many kilos, maybe eight kilos too much. So I'm going to try his basic system and his basic plan, snake diet, and I'll let you know how it goes.
He also has some nice ideas about exercise, which I very much like that I have used myself in the past and am using again. Now, really good. So anyway, he would be super interesting to talk to, this guy, Snake Diet. Someone recommended a Sufi, an American Sufi, which is good because he speaks English fluently.
He also looks interesting. I've just kind of scanned over some of his videos, but I'll be listening to his videos. He teaches meditation. So, another person to teach meditation.
I think it would be kind of cool. In fact, I like this idea of interviewing several different people about this topic of meditation. And, you know, each one, I think you'll find a lot of things. We will find that there are many things are similar.
But there might be some little small differences of technique or method, which would be interesting. You know, what is Sufi meditation compared to Sanatana Dharma meditation? compared to Buddhist meditation, compared to Christian meditation.
I don't know, Sikhs to Sikhs. If there are any Sikhs, you can let me know. Recommend somebody, I'll interview them. But I'd love to interview all of them about the topics of natural law, or Dharma, and meditation.
It'd be great. Fernando in Nagoya. You're only a few hours away from me. All right, so Mario, I'll just, Maria, rather. I'll go ahead and do some questions and comments now, live.
So, like I said, it's going to be short tonight. I just wanted to really announce this, that if you have someone you think, oh, this YouTube channel is so great, you must interview this guy.
Or, oh, this book I read is fantastic. Interview the writer. Great. So, Twitter or Gab, send me a message. I want their name, and I need a link. So a name and a link, a name and a link.
All right, let's do some questions now. Go to the questions and comments. It's going to be simple and short today. How do you deal with anxiety, says Maria?
Well, anxiety is basically kind of a constant fear, right? I think meditation would be very helpful. See, you know, as Acharya Ji was talking about, just as Dharma, as he was telling us, you know, Dharma, you know, operates, you know, the natural law operates, is there at all levels, right? From the very, very material and practical all the way up to the highest spiritual level of communing with God and everything in between.
And so in this way too, meditation likewise has benefits. So many levels of benefits where, you know, from the very basic level of just our basic psychology and indeed physical benefits of relaxation, all the way up again to the highest spiritual levels and everything in between. And so meditation, I think, would be very helpful for you for anxiety, learning to deal with it, meditating calmly, just noticing, being mindful of that anxiety, noticing the tension in your body, perhaps. You could try a kind of a Vipassana meditation, or you could just do the breath meditation.
Usually I just recommend breath meditation for most people as the first one. It's just what I know. I'm not a super expert. You know, I only, I don't know a
I'm certainly not a meditation teacher. We can ask Achyarji about this next time. But I would say breath meditation. You just notice breathing shallow, breathing fast, breathing tight.
And I think it would have some help with that. The other thing I always recommend for any kind of stress, and anxiety is a kind of stress, is hard physical activity. Hard exercise.
Make yourself tired. It's harder to be anxious when your body is, you know, and you've just exercised really hard. Because, see, exercise, there's a physical reason for this, a chemical reason. When you exercise hard or long, your body creates little chemicals called endorphins.
Endorphins. And these are, they relieve pain, first of all. They make your feeling of pain go down everywhere in your body. But they also bring your mood.
They bring your emotions up. You know, this is... If you know runners, or if you are a runner, you know this, there's a phrase called runner's high. You know, the runner's high.
What is that? It's those endorphins. It's that when a runner starts running long enough, a few things happen. Number one is just the oxygen. They're getting, they're oxygenating their body.
They're getting so much oxygen coming in and out. The blood's moving. Everything is, you know, getting energized, which is, that's one reason they feel better.
But then the other reason is these endorphins can be released, these chemicals in the brain. And that creates this really, really good feeling. So runners get it. But other athletes get it too.
People who do weightlifting get it after a hard workout. So really, this kind of regular exercise can be very good for anxiety. Combining it with meditation, then you're kind of doing two things, right? You're energizing and...
Energizing your body and kind of releasing some of that stress and fear and tightness. And then other time you're meditating where you're kind of relaxing and just letting it go calmly.
So the combination is really nice. Meditate each day and then do exercise each day. Increase your exercise. So just try those two things. Yeah. Luis Montoya says, Hola, hola.
It's been a while. I started with your lessons back in 2009. Now I live and work in the U.S. Congratulations, Luis. That's fantastic. Very good. Excellent.
Maria from Brazil. Hello. Gabriel from Brazil. Hello. Okay. Mullah is asking, again, someone asking about this top fan thing. I lost my title. I used to be a top fan on Facebook.
So I answered this question, or I mentioned, I talked about this yesterday. The top fan thing, I don't know what it is, honestly. It's some Facebook thing. I don't do it.
It's not me. I don't decide who is a top fan, who's not a top fan on Facebook. That's some Facebook program that does that. So don't worry about it. I don't even know what it is.
Ghoul Said says, fasting is good for health. It is very good for health. Lots of benefits to fasting. Psychological benefits too. And of course, again, spiritual benefits in fact.
I think his name is Cole, Cole Robinson. His channel is Snake Diet, but he focuses mostly on the health benefits, of which there are many, many, many, many for fasting.
So I hope I can get him on the channel. First of all, it would be great for your English because his style of speaking is so, how do I say? It's very, very casual.
He uses a lot of curse words. He's always saying, fucking, fuck, fuck, fuck. all the time but it's a real style of speaking English it would be very different than mine so I think it would be good for you to hear it and we could do some I can do maybe a couple lessons afterwards and talk about it so we'll see if he I'll invite him for sure I'll invite him later Bhupendra says ask a question AJ are you doing meditation I do yes I do I do meditation try to do it every day occasionally I miss some But most days I do meditation.
Oh, Alexei says, AJ, you look great. I would say your weight has not increased. I wouldn't say it's increased. Well, it's a little bit in my stomach is where the little bit of extra fat is.
It's my stomach. It's not a big thing, but it's just a little bit. Fernando talking about Osaka, Kaptu Osaka neighborhoods. I have been in Umeda and Namba when I was young.
Those are the two main, I would say those are the two biggest stations and areas in Osaka. Umeda is in the north and Namba is in the south. Ah, Bakir, good suggestion. Already I thought of this one.
AJ, please interview people who support homeschooling. Definitely I will. I'm actually looking for people. I know a lot of people out there. There are a lot of people who homeschool, but I want to find people who are good speakers.
Some people are kind of shy about doing video, shy about interviews. Maybe they know a lot, but when you try to talk to them, they're not so good maybe for an interview.
That's why it's kind of nice to find people who have podcasts or YouTube channels or something like that because then they have practice talking about their topic a lot.
Writers can also be good, but it just depends. Some writers, you know, they're maybe not as good at speaking. But anyway, so I'm looking for good homeschoolers to interview. I certainly will.
That's one of my favorite topics, you know. So absolutely, I will be looking for people who homeschool. Ali says, where's your child, AJ? She's just in the other room right now with my wife.
After the show, my wife will go to sleep and I will watch the baby. Sebastian says, hello from Poland. Hello. Okay. Sam says, sorry about mispronouncing your name.
Effortless English is a fantastic method of improving your English language. I've been following you for six months. The progress is real. Thank you, AJ.
Thank you, Sam. I really appreciate that. Thank you. Keep going. Keep going. Hassam agrees that interviews are good. Great to see you interviewing others.
It's really helpful. Thank you. Yeah, I agree. It's also interesting for me, you know, talking to, like that conversation with the Chirgy was very, super great for me, too.
I'm a huge fan of his. So, I quite enjoyed that. Bufendra says, I do meditation every day. Ah, so, good. Meditate, everybody! Ah, someone's read my book.
Khalid says, I read your book, Effortless English. It's amazing. It helped me practice with my study, Body-Mind Method. Great. Thank you, Khalid. I'm glad you enjoyed the book.
Marianne says, Dear Coach, I listened to your podcast for almost six months without expecting any improvement in my speaking skills or motivation for my life through your motivational speeches. But all my friends are curious how I did it. So that's fantastic. So you were not expecting to improve, but in fact, you have improved.
Very good. And now your friends are noticing. Aha, very good, see? That's a great thing. When other people start to notice, people who know you, and they start to, hey, why is your English getting better?
What are you doing? They start to ask you these questions. Then you know, really, that you're improving. Ah, well, Dasharat has a question about exercise.
I really want to exercise but can't be consistent with any types. Well, that is a problem. So, you know, I like, I very much like choosing exercise that you do every single day. It helps with this problem of consistency.
You know, some people, they'll do like three times a day, five, I mean three times a week, five times a week. But the problem is that when you take the rest day in between,
then you're breaking the habit, and then the next day it's easier to not do it again. But if you're doing it every single day, it becomes this very strong habit. So I like to do things that are maybe a little less intense, but every single day.
Things like walking or slow jogging. You can even do weightlifting. You have to do it correctly, but you can do weightlifting every single day. You can do push-ups and pull-ups and calisthenics every single day.
You just have to change how you do it a little bit. We have a new person. Elzbieta says, Hello from Poland. I'm watching you for the first time. Hello to you.
Welcome. Oh, another person. First, Prince Paisy. Dear teacher, I love you and your method. It's the first time that I joined. Welcome to you too. We have some first timers today.
Leila. Layla, nice. There's this Eric Clapton song about you. How to deal with people who try to control your life. Hmm. Depends who they are, I guess.
But I don't know. Ignore them. That's probably the best thing. Ignore them and just do what you want. You know, it kind of depends on, again, who they are, how you get the attitude you have.
If it's friends, you can just kind of ignore them or just say, hey, stop trying to control me. If it's parents, you can kind of be, you know, still kind and respectful to them, but still do what you want.
You know, if you're an adult, I'm assuming you're an adult. Most of my listeners are adults. So if you're an adult, you know, then you are responsible for your own life. So just do it.
No one can control you. So just do what you need to do. May, do you exercise daily? What is the best time to exercise for you? I do exercise daily. My favorite time to exercise is early afternoon or late morning.
That kind of, let's say, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Somewhere around there. Right now, my schedule is kind of strange because of the babies. But still, the general idea is a few hours after I wake up. I like to wake up and take my time to wake up gradually, and then I'll be ready for exercise.
Some people, they wake up, they jump out of bed, and they put on their shoes and they go run. Some people like to do it at night. I don't think it matters. Just do it.
Vladislav's comment is making me laugh and cough. Okay, Vladislav, I'm going to read your comment because it's funny. Today I watched a YouTube video where a man talked about saunas in the USA.
Most men go there with clothes on and they sit in the saunas without taking off their clothes because they're afraid there will be gays who get attracted to their naked body. And they can come and start touching them or, you know, trying to chat them, that kind of thing. That's why American saunas are not as hot as Russian saunas. And most Americans can spit or pee or poop anywhere.
It's not forbidden. If you go to eat and you order a hamburger, they can spit in it. Is all this true about America? Yeah, it's true. Now, let me say this.
It depends where you are. So, this is the problem. America, like Russia, is a huge, huge country, right? Very, very, very big. So, of course, these stories are like the worst stories, right?
It's not common, okay? But is it true? Does it happen? Yes, it can happen. It does happen sometimes. But it depends where you are. So, again, like big cities, everything you're saying is...
For example, San Francisco. So I know San Francisco because I lived there for six years. It is disgusting. It is disgusting. And this is 100% true. They're crazy, especially in the downtown area.
That includes the Mission downtown. It's the major part of San Francisco. full of homeless people, crazy people, drug addicts. They are pooping in the streets or on the sidewalks, peeing next to buildings, sitting next to buildings doing drugs.
It is disgusting. Yes, it's true, and it's getting worse and worse. Every year I visit, it gets worse and worse. That's why we don't live there anymore.
It's terrible. I've heard from... New Yorkers, that New York is becoming the same, that these same things are happening again in New York. You know, New York used to be a terrible, disgusting city.
Then they had a mayor, Giuliana, Giuliana, Giuliano, Giuliano, and he cleaned the city. Made New York much cleaner and nicer. But now they have another mayor and the city's becoming disgusting again. So that stuff about peeing and pooping in the streets and maybe someone at a restaurant might spit in your food.
I mean, it does happen. It can happen. Yes, it can happen. And in the big, nasty cities, more common. You can see all this stuff. The gay stuff. Again, depends where you go, right?
San Francisco, for sure, this is true. 100% sure. Absolutely. In some, like, I don't know, smaller town, you know, medium-sized town in the south or in the middle of the country, less true.
Right? But the cities are becoming horrible. Yeah. Like, the ones, I know San Francisco very well, and it's disgusting. I don't know why people live there.
I have good friends there, and I still don't understand. Every time I talk to them, I say, why don't you leave? Just leave. Get out of there. It's disgusting.
Nicola. AJ, why don't you be honest? You didn't gain weight because of junk food. You did it because your wife cooks very well. Yes, she does actually cook very well, but she cooks Japanese food.
which is very healthy and not fattening. So, I actually am very good weight when I eat her food because it's very healthy. It's just when I get a little stressed and I start snacking on sugary stuff, that's where the extra weight comes.
Okay, so here's someone giving a recommendation, Twan. Hey, Jay, I suggest you do a movie technique with a video from the YouTube channel named Improvement Pill. His video's great. They concentrate on self-improvement.
I'll check it out. Ah, Nikolai, nice suggestion. Interview with a freelancer about, you know, people who do freelance, who are like independent workers. They're not...
They're kind of like, you know, solo, meaning, you know, individuals, but then they do work for lots of different people. They don't work for a company. That's a good idea. I like it.
Ah, now, Elshad's asking, did you watch football yesterday? Describe the game Chelsea 4, Arsenal 1. Now, a few years ago, I kind of followed the Premier League a little bit, but this year, I have not at all. So, I don't know who's winning or who's...
I don't know anything. Yeah, Rafikal, Islam, I'm fasting, Ramadan, right? That's why I feel a bit demotivated today. Yeah, so, hey, you know, we'll get this guy on the channel so we can talk to him about this.
He does all kinds of different fasting. Maybe he has some tips. He does the partial fasting all the time. That's his lifestyle. It's very interesting.
But he eats a certain way. When he does eat, he eats certain kinds of foods. He avoids maybe some other kinds of foods. He does certain kinds of exercise.
So it would be interesting. Rafikul says, when I start meditating, I get lots of different kinds of distractions coming to my mind. Mm-hmm. I feel very tough to get rid of it.
Why? Well, because that is what brains and minds do. They create, you know, you're not the only person. Every person who tries to meditate, who starts meditating has this same exact experience, Rafikul.
So it's not just you. Everybody has this experience, including me. So, this is, you know, it's kind of the first stage, the first step where you learn how distracted your mind is. Because the truth is, those distractions are still happening even when you're not meditating.
You don't notice them as much. You don't realize it, but it's still there. You start to realize that your mind is very noisy. Buddhists call it monkey mind.
It means it's jumping around like a wild monkey all the time. So, the first step is dealing with that. And what you do is you just have to, you know, the distractions come, you refocus on your breathing. It comes again, another distraction, refocus on your breathing.
And for a while, it's just kind of the back and forth, back and forth. And eventually your concentration gets better and deeper. The distractions become a little less, a little less, but it takes time.
So just, but the main thing is don't get stressed about it. Because it's totally normal. So if you get tight and stressed about it and upset about it, then it makes it worse. Then it's harder.
And your mind becomes even less calm. So you have to just learn to accept it calmly. Other suggestions? Interviewing polyglots. Yes, I've interviewed Steve Kaufman, for example, who's great.
And entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs is a good idea. I like it. Where can I find your books? My book website is EffortlessEnglish.com Effortless English. No club.
Just EffortlessEnglish.com That's my book website. Information about my book. Another person from Bhutan. You're the second one in two days. Interesting.
Damcho says... I'm from Bhutan. I'm a new member of Effortless English Club. I'm really fascinated by your skillful teachings. Well, thank you and welcome.
I'm happy to see more Bhutanese joining Effortless English. Very cool. I suggest Tariq Ramadan for Barisola says. Okay, I'll check him. I guess it's a man.
I'll check him out. Leona says, hey Jay, happy to see you. Happy to see you. Welcome. Okay, now Graphical's right. This is another criteria. Try to interview people who are very red-pilled.
Indeed, yes, I want red-pilled people. I don't want the blue-pilled. I don't want people in the matrix still. Now, see, this is another thing. This is another reason why, you know, like people in the media are not so good, you know, because a lot of them are still kind of blue-pilled.
But the red-pilled people, TV won't interview them. They don't want to introduce them to people. I've also, I sent a message to Roosh. Some of you might know who Roosh is.
But I have not heard back from him. He might just ignore me and not want to do an interview. I understand he's had a lot of bad experiences with interviews and the media.
So I would totally understand if he doesn't trust anybody. But anyway, he's an interesting guy. Roosh V. Abday asks, have you ever been to Morocco? I have not.
I have friends who went to Morocco. They loved it. A lot of people here love you, AJ. Thank you. Thank you. greetings from Poles in Iceland and around the world hello to Poland yes Poland wonderful thank you welcome to all the Poles Sandra teacher what can I do to find an American wife haha kind of joking well go to America first that's the first step I suppose
I don't know if you really want an American wife, honestly. Would not be my first recommendation. Okay, Mikhail, by the way, you mentioned, AJ, after last podcast, I still think about starting meditation with Jesus in my mind. Of course, I've prayed to him a lot of times, but not in the form of meditation.
I'm going to try. Great. Also, you know, I'm going to look for... So, like I said, I got a good suggestion... a guy with a YouTube channel who's a Sufi, which is one practice in Islam, and he teaches meditation, which is cool.
So he's on my list now of people to interview. I would like to find someone who does Christian meditation, who teaches and talks about Christian meditation, because I know it exists.
For example, the monks that chant in Latin, that is a kind of meditation for sure. you know, different, like Benedictine monks. I always think of them, you know, chatting, chanting in Latin. That is a kind of meditation, absolutely.
You know, it's called, in the East, you know, in Sanatana Dharma, in Buddhism, it's called mantra meditation, where you're chanting something like that, right?
I mean, you could do lots of things. In Buddhist chant, sutras sometimes, which is like a short teaching, right? Like the most famous one, maybe the Heart Sutra. You know, and they'll chant the whole thing.
I mean, you could probably chant the Lord's Prayer if you were a Christian. Abdelaziz, how can I speak confidently in public? Well, that's a big topic.
I've done some videos about this before. Maybe I'll do some more in the future, do some more about public speaking. I really enjoy it. I enjoy the topic.
I like helping people, I know, because when I first, of course, like everybody or almost everybody, When I first started trying to give speeches, I was terrified, nervous, really bad. And it took a while. It takes practice to learn, but you can do it.
Abdallah, thank you. It says, I'm a big follower from the U.S. I like your method. I got your book from Amazon. Great. Thank you. hello from the Ukraine thank you Lena also a good suggestion interview students who've changed and developed yes I've got a few students already that on my list I have interviewed students in the past and I would like to interview more in the future Maddy Carol Max I don't know I'll make a longer list of students you guys can suggest them if you want
Okay. Reem, is your pronunciation easier than other native speakers? Well, easier than some. I would say I have a standard accent. American accent. Standard, meaning what most people speak, what you will hear most people use in TV and movies and radio.
I have that kind of American accent. So that's one reason that my pronunciation is very clear. The other reason is where I'm from. I'm from the South.
And I don't have a Southern accent, but I have a Southern kind of rhythm, I would say. Rhythm and speed. A style of speaking. And Southerners typically speak a little bit more slowly.
A little bit longer pauses. So that also helps with understanding for you. Lucky you that I'm from the South. If I was from New York, you would have a lot of problems.
Oh, yeah. Sandro. I was in San Francisco also. Van Ness and Market. Yeah, Van Ness. Van Ness can be nasty. Some places on Van Ness can be bleh. A lot of places on Market Street, too.
Bleh. Rafical says, I'd love you to do a big podcast on the history of the English language. You did a video on this topic, but that was short. I want more detail.
I'd have to do a little more research. I'm not an expert on it, but it is an interesting topic suggestion. Thank you. Bufendra, who will you interview next time?
Tomorrow I am interviewing. Tomorrow. Tomorrow, Friday at 11 p.m. Japan time. 11 p.m. Japan time. So that's about two hours from now, tomorrow. I will interview David the Good.
His name, his writing name is David the Good. He is an expert on gardening, growing plants, growing your own food. Kind of cool. Interesting. I like it.
I've seen a bunch of his videos. I like him. I've got a couple of his books, too. All right. I guess I got to go. I hear a baby in there. I'll take one more and then I got to go.
Tin. I'll go finish with tin. Even though I just answered this question, you must have come late. Do you do meditation yourself? Yes, I do. As it said, some experiences can be obtained through real practice, not just by reading.
Well, for sure. Reading about meditation will do you very little good. Not going to help you very much just to read about it. Meditation is something you have to do.
Absolutely. If you want, Myanmar has the best meditation places. Myanmar does indeed. For the longest time, I learned meditation and did meditation under Goenka, S.N.
Goenka. A lot of you might know him. His courses were quite famous. They're called Vipassana, vipassana.org. He's no longer alive now, but his organization continues.
They do these great 10-day meditation courses, very good. He was originally from Myanmar. Indian, you know, Indian family, Indian background, but lived in Myanmar, learned meditation from a Myanmar monk. Was it a monk?
Well, I'm, anyway, a master in Myanmar. So you're correct about that. I'm a little bit familiar with that, Myanmar. And specifically, you know, like Vipassana type of meditation, which is really good.
Really good. We'll talk to Acharya Ji. He can talk to us about... One thing I'll try to... I'll ask him about are just the different kinds of meditation.
You know, there's breath meditation. There's the... Vipassana meditation, focusing on body sensations. There's mantra meditation. Maybe some others. All right, I'm going to go.
My baby's crying in there. I've got to take care of my baby. So, short one today. Lots of love to you. So, again, just going to finish the show with the same point.
