Good to have you. A lot of people tell me they have that issue, kind of getting their folks doing what they need to be doing. That's the conversation. It is the daily boost from motivation2move.com in December.

It's 20 years of doing this thing, but it's a lifetime. It's a lifetime of doing it for me, really. It's always been this way. The positive boost you need to take control of your business and your life so you can grow both.

And that's what it's all about. In all the years I've done coaching, and I've worked with so many people, tens of thousands of hours these days, to the point that I kind of see the problem coming and I see the solution that I have to give before I You know, I even get there. It's just happened a lot.

But ultimately, here's what everybody wants. They want more control of their life because life gets in the way. Need more money? Need less money? Hmm, is that possible?

Need happiness? Any better relationship? Whatever. That's what it is. But they want to do it in a positive way. They don't want to like, oh, I've got to get to work and grind it out.

No, no, no, no. Let's have a positive attitude. Let's look at life in a nice way. Let's be real. Let's be emotional. Let's be logical. Let's take control of our business and take control of our life and let's grow both the way we would.

Have it all life. Have it all life. Don't you want it all? Is it okay to ask for that? Sure it is. I don't know anybody who doesn't. There's a few out there.

I'm a minimalist. I'm sorry. Don't get you. I don't understand that. Buying a Tesla for my wife and I'm not a minimalist. A guy that wants to get away from the tech and I bought a Tesla.

Go figure. I guess I like Teslas. I guess I like tech. So today we're going to motivate your team, huh? I used to have some clients. I never forget the guy.

It was many, many years ago. I just barely got in this business. I had my very first paid speaking gig. They gave me money, $2,500, to go speaking from a large crowd down at Disney.

Listen, if you're going to have your first gig, to be at a big Disney hotel in front of 1,000 people. First one ever, by the way. And then I had to mingle and do workshops and all that stuff. It's fun.

But I'm sitting at, Maurice was his name. I remember that. It's been a long time now. And he ran, I think, a lawn business, a really big lawn care company.

You know, lawn care companies up north, and they do lawns in the summertime. And in the wintertime, they do snow plowing, one of those businesses. And we're talking. He goes, you know what, ma'am?

My employees, they're the love of my life, except my wife. They're the best thing I have going. I am so proud of my employees. I'm so happy they're here.

I just love them. I'm thinking, man, that's awesome. He goes, but you know what? They are the biggest pain in my butt that I have. I just hate every one of them, but I don't mean that.

I really love them, but oh my God, it's like friends. I had a friend one time said, I don't have too many friends because friends come with liabilities. Have you figured that part out yet? They do.

They come with all kinds of great benefits, but there's some liabilities there just when you start to get to know somebody, right? And that's what freaks people out usually. People navigate that communication thing among people. They're like, why is it supposed to be this way?

Because it just is. They're called humans. So maybe you're in that situation and you find yourself having to drive a team. You have to lead the team, right?

And you're like, how do I get them motivated? I started doing something a long time ago. I called it my big, awesome, motivating mission. Bam. Yeah. You have an acronym there.

Big. awesome, motivating mission. That sounds like that, uh, a poppycock personal growth stuff. It's motivation. That doesn't work. Yeah, it does. Listen, I know you went big and here's, here's the deal.

Most people want to want big and big is relative to you. There's no doubt about that. But big excites your brain, man. When you've got a big thing, a big problem, a big solution, something exciting, you get excited.

That's it. Awesome is just a fun word that helps you make my acronym work. But that's what we want. We don't want not awesome, do we? We want awesome.

Admit it, guys. You want it big and you want it awesome. And everybody wants to feel that motivating feeling. Everybody does. I don't care who you are.

You just want to get out of bed and feel like, oh, let's go. I feel good. I want it, man. I feel great today. Don't you? Admit it. You do. I work with so many people all the time.

That's what they want. I know a secret, by the way. I know that big, awesome, tingly, motivational feeling comes from a lot of freaking work. Shh, don't say that out loud on a podcast.

People will get mad at you. Plus a mission. We have a big, awesome, motivating mission. Think about the term mission. Think about it. It's an objective.

Off to get something done. Ask the Army. Ask the Air Force. Ask the Marines. Ask the Navy. Ask the Space Force. Ask the Super Intelligence Force. I think that's the next one, right?

What's coming next? Ask them about the mission. Bam! It's a big, awesome, motivating mission. Do you still dream of what you want to be when you grow up or what your business is supposed to be when you finally get it where it's supposed to go?

Do those visions keep popping inside your head? If that's the case... You have to ask yourself, what's my big, awesome, motivating mission? What is it?

If it's little itty-bitty dreams pop around, pieces of paper stuck, or maybe an Evernote file someplace, is Evernote still alive? I don't know. I don't want to use them.

Big, awesome, motivating mission. Bam, what is it? What dreams excite you? What business plans excite you? What gives you that feeling of happiness and success and significance?

Bam, what is it? Have you thought about it? Maybe you have. Maybe you wrote it down, and it's tucked away someplace. You haven't looked at it for a while.

Almost everybody I talk to, I get like an hour into a conversation. They're like, man, I haven't thought this way in 20 years. This is who I used to be. I said, I know.

I didn't know. I just met you now, but I'm feeling you from 20 years ago. Bam. What scares you guys? I promise you, if it scares you, you probably got to deal with it.

A lot of the good stuff in life scares you. I can't tell you how many people I work with, and maybe it's you. You've got these big dreams, these ideas. You've got to nail, man.

You spent all night talking on ChatGPT. You figured it out, and you won't do anything about it. I don't know if it scares you more or excites you more. I have no idea.

I do know this, though. Bam! It's a big, awesome, motivating mission. You put that power in play, and you got it figured out. What makes you smile? What makes you smile and say, if I could only get myself to, bam, do this thing?

There is nobody I've ever met. It didn't have a little grin on their face when you start talking about what really excites them. So much so, I have learned to read it. I'm a real auditory guy.

I can kind of pick up on the nuance of how you speak, and that wouldn't surprise you. I'm radio. I do this auditory my whole life. I can hear between the lines.

I can hear your breath, what you're thinking. It's really weird. It really is. But when I look at you, and I saw this in person at first. Now I see it on Zoom calls all the time.

There's a little smile that kind of comes on your face or on your mouth. It's very, very tiny, and it's involuntary. When we get a bam, a big awesome motivating mission, when you get scared, you get excited, there's a little smile that happens. It's like your body's going, I really want to smile.

This excites me, but you're like, no, don't. Don't do it. Don't do it. But it's there. It's not an intuitive guy. I'm just telling you, I'll call you on your stuff.

Some people, they pay me a lot of money. I'm not talking about you hiring me. I'm just telling you my experience here. It's just literally a PhD in just doing all this stuff forever.

I'm sitting here listening to every word you're saying and none of it matters because I see this little thing happen to your mouth. And I know you're denying it.

I know we just struck a chord. Is that what they call it? Bam. So if you're trying to motivate yourself, have your bam. But if you're trying to motivate other people,

Don't you think if you gave them a big, awesome, motivating mission, not a mission like this is our mission for the business. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

As part of it. But it is something that drives them as well. Something that fires them up. Something that makes them so excited to work for you. To see what you're thinking.

To see you have them in mind. To see the bigger vision, which we'll talk about tomorrow. Bam! If you get that together, watch what happens to the people around you.

It's pretty interesting. You've seen it before, and I get to see it a lot because I do it for a living. I get to say things in a certain way and see people in front of me just relax and almost melt and lean back and smile.

All I did was something nobody else does. Bam! Something to think about today. Listen, whatever you want to get in life, it doesn't really matter what it is.

If you want to be happy, get a nice wife, a nice husband, have good kids, run a business, dominate the world, it's going to come down to your mission that you're going to be on. So you may as well have a good one and a big one.

You get out of bed every single day excited. Life is awesome. If you're ready to go beyond the boost, take control of your business and your life, you need to talk to me. Go to motivationandmove.com.
