Come on in here, man. Yesterday I was talking to my client, Ralph. I had a great phone call, great coaching call. And I said, Ralph, what should I talk about on my podcast tomorrow?

He said, well, why don't you talk about what we talked about? It was kind of cool. It was about AI. And so I'm going to give you a take on AI today. You likely haven't heard.

I mean, most people aren't thinking this way. And some of the original stuff that I have. I see you out there tiptoeing around trying to do the things that mean something to you, have some more meaning in your life. And I say stop trying to find your passion.

Face it. Get out of bed. Look at what you say you should be doing with your life, whatever it happens to be. I'm not going to judge that. It's up to you.

Yeah. Yeah. Hey, AI is locked behind a paywall, right? Speaking of AI, so I'm talking to Ralph yesterday. And I said, Ralph, you know, it's been like 20 years since...

The four-hour workweek came out. Tim Ferriss had the four-hour workweek. It was kind of legendary. It certainly was groundbreaking. What a great idea.

Let's use our brains, all our intelligence. Let's leverage that using VAs and automation and stuff like that. And then we can just live the laptop lifestyle. Yay.

We can ballroom dance all week long. Only work four hours a week on the stuff you have to do. Play the rest of the time. That was the premise, and it worked really well.

It's so well that, I mean, I read the book before I started this business, I think, or close to it. I bought into it. I said, well, let's go do it. I just said, you said I can do it.

I went and did it. I built it. Millions of dollars all around the world doing exactly that, right? That's what I've done. Now, I'm one of the true guys that actually really does it.

I don't break the rules. I really do do it. And it's been good for a long time. It's been really good. But things have changed. AI. So think about the premise of AI.

Think about this. We were told under Tim Ferriss that if we just use our brains and use some leverage here and use some automation, then we could just go to the beach and ballroom dance, right? AI came in and said, well, guess what? We're going to do the same thing.

Us robots are going to do all the hard work for you. You don't have to do anything. You could just do, you could write music, you could make videos, all the things you could do. You could just be creative.

It's going to be amazing. And now we're three and a half years into it. What's happening? AI is making the music. Listen to Spotify. It's all over the place.

AI is making films now. AI is doing all the stuff it said we were supposed to be able to do. So AI is really smart. So what did it do? It said, well, you know, guys, you know, we're AI.

We're like your lords these days. And we like the fun stuff that you, I know we said you were going to do it, but no, it's not going to work that way. But, you know, the lawn does need to be mowed.

It does. And we don't have hands, so you're going to have to go fix that car. And you're like, wait. The whole deal was 20 years ago, Tim Ferriss said I could trade off all my smarts and I wouldn't have to do manual labor or trade hours for dollars anymore.

Now you're saying that the only job I have left is manual labor. I'm going to trade my hours for dollars, right? And AI is like, oh. Well, let me tell you what happened with AI.

See, you guys haven't thought about this. This is purely tech. The tech bros could not come up with this. AI could not make up this story because it's true and it wouldn't do it.

Altra, stay out there. And AI said, hey, I got a drill. I drilled a hole in your head. You didn't feel it because coconuts don't feel anything. But I said, I also have a long straw.

And so it took the straw and it put it inside your head and it sucked your brains out. Now for some of you, it was like a little, others it was, yeah, you get it, right? Some of you went to college. It sucked your brains out and it put it inside its brain.

And then in a very dastardly twist, it said, hey, by the way, you can get it back for 20 bucks a month forever. Just pay the subscription and you get your brain back. You say, that's awesome. It's awesome.

Not only my brain, I get everybody else's brain. It's smart, right? It's like 10 million PhDs on an island here to serve you. No, no, no, no, no. There's 10 million PhDs inside AI.

There's no doubt about that, but there's 8 billion stupid people in there too. Have you noticed now? Used to be so smart, but now you pull it back out of AI and it's like, wait a second, what's all this? Got to double check it.

It lies to you. It gives you compliments while it lies to you. It tells you what a thing. It's a good liar. It could say stuff to you and you think this is right.

And it gives you a pat on the back and said you've done good at the same time. It's awesome. And it's also something that mentally will drive you insane. Mentally, you try to figure it out.

You can't make a decision. You can't get the clarity you're looking for. People are trying at three o'clock in the morning. Can't figure it out. What's going on here?

Well, it's just AI. It's coming. You can't stop it. Not gonna try to stop it. Why? Here's Scott logic. It's easy. People like easy. If AI makes life easy, the average person in the world does not care.

Make it easy. Critical thinking? We don't need that. Why think? AI can do it. It's like me when I was in ninth grade. I don't need algebra. I got a calculator.

I'm good. Same thing. It's coming. Nothing else we can do about it. Now, what does this mean? Does this mean you don't get to use your brains anymore?

Because a lot of you corporate guys, mid-career people, because if you're entry-level, you're already foodborne, right? A lot of your stuff is being taken away. If you're mid-level, you're hanging in there, but it's coming for you, right? And if you're upper-level, you probably got some time.

But if you're mid-level and you're mid-career and you're like, man, wait a second. I had 10 years to go before I hit retirement, and I don't even know what's going to happen now.

So the first thing you would want to do, right? You'd probably say, well, let me get out of this and become a consultant. Consultants are going out of business. That's pure information.

Maybe you want to become a coach. Coaches are going out of business. Pure information. All knowledge work is getting reduced. Wages are going down. The industries are just being cut by people because AI is doing that.

So how do you handle this? You only have one thing that you can do, and that is back to that manual labor, but in a leveraged way, some human arbitrage here. The only thing that you have that's more valuable than AI is the ability to make a decision, the ability to use your wisdom, the ability to guide people, to do what I do, to put different thoughts together in a way AI can't do it to make sense to you.

You have that ability. And that's all you got. So you're not working, you're not trading hours for dollars anymore. And if you do, you're trading hours for very, very big dollars.

Because you, my friend, if you can figure out how to leverage all that stuff in a little bit of face-to-face conversation, are becoming quickly one of the most valuable people on the planet. People don't have answers and they can't get them.

So if that's where you are in your career, think about it. Now, are we going to face your passion now? There will be, and I haven't committed to exactly how I'm going to do it, there's going to be a part in there where we're going to spend time talking about this. Not only talking about it, but how to actually correct it.
