Meine Zehen bringen mich um. Diese Schuhe sind viel zu eng. Trägst du immer noch diese spitzen Dinger? Ich meine, sind nicht alle Laufschuhe so geformt?
Nein, du brauchst Altras. Altras? Altras sind geformt wie deine Füße. Mit einer fußförmigen Zehenbox. Einfach viel bequemer. Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit Hallenzehen.
Okay, das klingt traumhaft. Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik. Alles durch die Passform. Altra versteht das einfach. Altra, stay out there. Wie kann man das nicht mehr passieren?
Es war wie living in 1977. Es war awesome. Out till 8.30 tonight. It's not up yet. I'm recording today offline. Then I shall put it on my laptop, drive to the Foxtail Coffee across the street and use their Wi-Fi to upload it to you.
So there you go. That's my day. It is a daily boost from MotivationToMove.com, the positive boost you need every single day. My wife called me. She said, so you're having a rough day, right?
And I said, really? So here's the secret. Can I tell you the secret? At Foxtail Coffee, they have coffee. And I got there and I knew I was going to be there a while.
So I had a cup of coffee, stayed there for a call, and then next door is the Dairy Queen. So I walked next door and took my next call with a blizzard. It was awesome. It was a Heath Bar blizzard.
Oh, the Internet should go out more. Good to have you. Thanks for stopping by today. We're going to take you down a road, an old Napoleon Hill Motivational Road.
Some of the old stuff is awesome. It's amazing. I've read most of the old Personal Growth multiple times. I love it when my clients actually find it all by themselves and they say, I'm reading this stuff.
My husband thinks I'm stupid. It's an old book. Why are you reading that? It's classic, man. It's amazing. So today we're going to take you back to Napoleon Hill Motivational Road.
Halfway through, I'm going to tell you his thoughts on doing something in 30 days, getting something done. And then when I get through his thoughts, I'm going to spin it around and take you to 2026 and give you some practical wisdom that comes from me working with so many people and stuff I see every single day. Some of you will find the second part not really motivating. Others will say, okay, there it is.
That's the real stuff. I hope you hear them both together because ultimately that's what works. Anyway, let's get into this. Oh, by the way, Thursday,

But Thursday it all begins, and it's going to be awesome. Next week you'll hear how you can get in and be part of Operation Reinvention inside my group, and I hope you'll want to do that as well. Let's dig in. Do you believe you can do anything
Alles ich habe, Even coming up the new Face Your Passion school group.
I kicked it around for a couple of months, but at the end of the day, it's kind of getting off the ground in about 30 days. Then it's up and running. It'll run for 10 years. A week is easy.
Crossing several weekends and life events makes it kind of hard. How many times have you been like on a perfect diet working out, but I got that damn wedding to go to the third week of October? I have one the second week. I'm wondering right now.
It happens. Life gets in the way, right? So Napoleon Hill was kind of all over this, some of the early motivational stuff. And I've always been kind of amazed by these early guys because they didn't have AI.
They didn't have Google. They didn't have a lot of medical science. They kind of just watched people and talked to people and interviewed people. And they kind of observed and figured stuff out.
And the more we get into this technological age we're in right now, the more that I like to do that. Can I tell you about a dream I had the other day?
I decided to pull back from AI a little bit in my creative nature. I said, you know what? I'm not going to use it. I'll use it for tools. I'm not going to use it to kind of give me ideas.
So I went to bed one night and I'm sleeping. And in my dreams, my REM sleep, like five hours of REM, I'm dreaming like crazy. And I had these great ideas. And I said, I got to write these things down.
This is great stuff. And suddenly in my dream, I went, but I'm not plugged into the internet. My head's not plugged into the internet. How am I getting these great ideas?
I went, oh. Scott going old school while he sleeps, huh? Let's get into this.
Einfach viel bequemer.
Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit Hallenzehen. Okay, das klingt traumhaft. Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik. Alles durch die Passform. Altra versteht das einfach.
Altra, stay out there. So Napoleon Hill had something he called the major definite purpose. I might call that a big-ass goal because I don't live when Napoleon lived. But when you think about it, a major definite purpose, even though it's kind of maybe not fitting of today, major is a cool word.
It's a big deal, right? Definite, even a cooler word. Purpose, probably the most fun word of the whole thing. Put the three together. If you've got a major definite purpose, you're on to something, right?
As a guy who's done this a long time, I can tell you almost every single person I ever talk to does not have a major definite purpose when they set a goal. It doesn't happen. In fact, they have to come to me and talk to me for an hour until I give them a major definite purpose. And they go, oh, that's cool.
That sounds better. You didn't have to do that. I just gave it to you. Number two, do me a favor. And Napoleon Hill said this as well. Stop the silly negative self-talk.
Other people are going to throw sticks and stones. Don't throw them at yourself. I promise you this, the very minute you decide to change anything about your life, everybody else is going to say, what are you doing? They're going to cast evil stuff upon you.
Evil, that's a heavy word, stuff. And you're like, well, what? I just want to do some things differently. And people say, what are you doing? You're not the same person you used to be, are you?
Guys, I can promise you this, that the very minute you decide to be something you've not been before, everybody will say, what are you doing? They're going to try to hold you back.
Be careful, it'll stop you. My guess is it has before. Number three, start thinking for all the reasons you can be successful. Make a list. I cannot tell you how many people, when I ask them what they're going to do and how they're going to do it, they usually start by telling me what they're going to avoid.
Now, I'm okay with that to an extent. But the reality is that positive forward momentum is very important. You got to stay in that positive state of mind. The can will win.
Finally, decide what you're going to do and that you will do whatever it takes in the next 30 days to reach your goal that nothing will stop you. Napoleon Hill said that 100 years ago. Decide what you're going to do and make the decision that nothing will stop you. When's the last time that you set a major definite purpose, a goal, and said nothing will stop me in the next 30 days and you actually let nothing stop you?
It's happened, I'm sure. Let's reframe it a little bit. How many times have you set a goal or something you want to get done and maybe said something would stop you? Nothing would stop you.
And it did. More than you or I want to admit. Let me give you some practical wisdom, some practical philosophy right now. This is the guy who's been coaching a lot.
You can listen to the scratchy voice. If you heard me 20 years ago, it didn't happen. It's here from tens of thousands of hours of talking to people. My ears are probably scratchier than my throat because I listen so much.
So let's ask. In the next 30 days, what happens if life gets in the way? What happens is you had a perfect day plan. I'm going to do my diet plan today.
And the internet goes down. Are you going to be like me and end up at Dairy Queen on Wi-Fi and eating a blizzard? Uh-oh. I'm not on a diet. I'm okay with it.
Plus I put on a credit card. My wife will know I ate it anyway. I'm good. What if what you think was supposed to work doesn't? Your freshly played AI plan.
AI said, this will work. Listen, AI has never actually been out on the real world. It's just kind of guessing. Whatever it tells you to do, it's guessing.
I wouldn't believe it. Not yet anyway, maybe in the future. But whatever you think is supposed to happen, what if it doesn't happen? I know you believe it's true, but what if it's not actually true?
What if the life lesson that you need to learn is caught up in failing? What are you going to do about it? You're still going to complete it in 30 days? What if all the stuff you want to do is caught up in politics?
You got to contribute. You got to shake hands. You got to schmooze. Got to hang out with people that you don't want to hang out with because you might need them in the future.
Willen to play? I think we all do to some extent, don't we? We all do. Some people play extraordinarily well at that game. We call them politicians. We don't trust them.
What do you want to do? I'm not going to judge you. You want to do that? That's fine. But if you said you will do anything it takes to reach your goal, what if your values are challenged?
Are you willing to do that? I'm not trying to be negative here. I'm just trying to say, okay, let's get the other side of this thing, man. The stuff you guys know all the way anyway.
You know this right now. A lot of you guys don't like this kind of talk because it's not motivational enough for you. The same people say that, say motivation doesn't work because nobody gave you the other side of it. Well, you're getting the other side of it now in a very positive way.
This doesn't make me upset whatsoever. It actually gives me the ability to breathe and go, yes. What else? What if the cost of admission is money and you don't have any?
It's true. It happens. Sometimes a crowd you want to be in. They cost money to be there. There's a reason people go to country clubs. There's a reason they do get into politics.
There's a reason they do things like that. Because once you pay a certain amount of money, you get in a certain club and you get in on certain deals. And yes, it's the system. Is it fair?
Yes. If you want to play at that level, then get in that system. If you don't like it, stay where you are. That's the truth. So we look back on this. Let's juxtapose it.
What I just said was kind of honest and kind of truthful. There's a whole lot more. We can go on with that stuff forever, can't we? But if you have a major definite purpose, a big-ass goal that gets you excited, it doesn't really matter what you run into.
In my view, it does. As long as it doesn't cross your values, you'll do anything, right? Negative self-talk is just not good for anybody, but it's easy to come upon. Gossip's so easy.
It's the devil's talk. It's really bad when other people do it and you get caught up in it. It's worse when you do it yourself, to yourself. When you start thinking of all the reasons you can't be successful, that's tough.
It's like a bad habit. It's easier to just get a new one than to break an old one. You may as well think of what is possible versus what isn't possible. When you decide you're going to do whatever it takes to reach your goal for the next 30 days and nothing will stop you,
I think that's what it takes. But I will put a caveat in that. Do you know who you are, what you believe, and what your values are? Will you do whatever it takes to get there?
As long as you live within your values, are you going to sell yourself off? Because if you're going to do that, I'll probably have a podcast for you in a couple of months based on the letter you sent me, and you'll be retreading that road again, won't you?
The truth is, in all of this stuff, when Napoleon Hill started way back a long time ago and before times, before internet times, nothing has changed. People are still people. It just happens.
The only difference is we don't step out into a pool of horse poop in the town that we live in because we have paved streets now. And we have the internet that doesn't always work. See you tomorrow.
