Ich bin live right now. In beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida. Well, actually, a little bit south. I live in the city of Port Orange, but you know where Daytona is, right?

Where I am today. And we're talking about change. Change is one of those things. It's constant. Winston Churchill said that. I kind of like change and get excited by change.

Some people get scared of change, which isn't. Is there something else going on? We're going to talk about that today. And maybe it'll move the bar, move the needle a little bit for you.

We'll see. I think it'll be a good show. I think you'll have something to think about when we're done. It is the Daily Boost from MotivationToMove.com, the positive boost you need every single day.

We all need that for sure. My name is Scott Smith. Good to have you, man. I am just a... I'm a little tired. I opened my Fix Your Passion coaching group last week and they kept me buzzing all weekend long.

You know one thing they told me, does this resonate with you? They said, Scott, I'm just trying to figure out what's next for me. My life, my work, my business, kind of confused, a little frustrated, just kind of don't know that next step, can't find the thing I want to do. I heard it from two-thirds of the 43 people that came in the group last week.

So this week at 11 a.m. on Thursday, I'm holding my first live Your Next Move coaching session inside the group. I'm going to teach you what's next. I'm going to show you how to get there.

I'm going to give you a tool that will really ground you in where you are today. And because we can ground you in today, we can figure out anything. So you can be a founder if you want to. Save half price.

All up to you. I'd love to have you. Go to school.com slash faceyourpassion. That's S-K-O-O-L dot com slash faceyourpassion. Maybe we'll see you Monday.

I hope so. Or Thursday. It's Thursday. Just edit that out. I said Thursday. Let's talk about change, huh? This is scary. I mean, I think every single person I talk to wants to change something.

I'm like, okay, what are we going to change? They go, I don't know. So I want to talk to you. I get it, man. Life is like that. Have you figured that out yet?

Life is just kind of wonky. It really is. Just when you think you've got to figure it out, it changes. No matter where you go. And again, I like to kind of play that game.

I was sitting in a dining room of a friend of mine, probably about a year ago now. And we were solving the problems of the world. I think we got most of them all solved. And then you wouldn't know, the politicians made more of them.

So I guess we've got to have another conversation now. It was hours long in conversation. And she said to me something that I hear actually very often. So what are you talking about on tomorrow's podcast?

And I gave an answer I often give. I have two answers I give. I said, well, it depends on what we talk about today, which is very true. Sometimes I hear people in our conversation, they become a podcast the next day.

In this case, I said, well, I hadn't thought about it at all. And she said, well, why don't you talk about why people don't take big chances and stay in their comfort zone? For their entire life. Now I'm talking about somebody who does not stay in their comfort zone whatsoever.

We get along very well. She thought I got to hang with Scott because Scott doesn't stay in his comfort zone. He does cool stuff. I do nothing cool compared to what she does.

It's crazy what this lady does. Her name is April, by the way. She's a Hollywood animal trainer. She's like crazy. She should be a stunt woman. She's crazy in a great way.

Why don't people take big chances and they just stay in their comfort zone for their entire life? Ich gete es. Most people, once you build something, you don't want to hang on to it or lose it, right? You want certainty?

It's like you don't want to build a bunch of stuff and then go take a chance on something. So yeah, you get it, right? I'm the same way. Well, my mind instantly reviewed my life and all the areas that I have stumbled in before I got out of my own way.

Man, I stumbled really well. I look back on my life now and all the things I've done. And, you know, Bucket List has been erased like 10 years ago. Not erased, just completed.

It's just about everything. And good and bad. I mean, I look back on my life like, well, I took a chance there. That didn't work out so good. And other times it was great.

I stumbled and bumbled my own way. But I also remember conversations I've had with clients over the years on the topic of life leaps. And I've often said that leap is what really gets you there. You've had it.

You've had many of them. You've had times in your life when it just seemed to go from here to there in a really good way. And yes, sometimes, let's admit it, it will go from here to there in a really bad way. But before I could really say anything on this with her, she said, I know what it is.

Why people don't take a chance and why they stay in their comfort zone. I've learned something in my life. It's hard to believe because as much as I talk here and how fast I talk,

People get so comfortable, she said, with what they built and they don't want a chance losing it. So I already said that. That's what she was thinking too. Their money, their home.

They wonder what their family will say. Boom. That's a big one. Is there anything else? Yes. She said, everybody gets scared and freezes. I'm like that, but I'm going to push through the fear and go for it.

As long as I'm mostly sure I won't lose what I built. Mostly sure I won't lose what I built. That's kind of how I roll. We talked a bit more about that and about what it takes to make those changes that you want in life and we came to a couple of conclusions.

Einfach viel bequemer. Bezwinge deinen Lauf mit Hallenzehen.

Okay, das klingt traumhaft. Mehr Komfort, Kraft und Dynamik. Alles durch die Passform. Altra versteht das einfach. Altra, stay out there. One, when you have a growth mindset and believe anything is possible, you can do anything.

Now, when I say that, I don't want to be the motivational guy who says, you can do anything. Because the truth is, you can't. There are things you can't do. There are things you're never going to do.

It's like my wife. There are certain things she won't do. She has me around because I'll do them for her. Holding on too tightly to what you have sends a very wrong energetic message.

Wenn du willst, du will.

The solid foundation that takes care of your personal needs is the very reason you have the desire to self-activate. That's Maslow's hierarchy of needs. That's what he taught us.

Your foundation must remain while you expand. So the very thing that says, I'm bored, life is good, I have my peaceful base, as Scott calls it around here. That very thing is what makes you want to go do something else. Yeah, I know, man.

Life is weird. The brain is scary, isn't it? That's why we focus on the peaceful base and face your passion. When you come in, you say, hey, man, I got a big-ass goal.

Is it great? What do you want to do? Let's look at the goal. Let's figure it out. But then I turned you right away and I said, but we can't give up anything that gives you your peaceful base.

We've got to make sure you're comfortable, you feel good, you feel grounded, and then we can go for everything else. A lot of people give up the base, and it's like me. It's like me. It's the very first time jumping out of an airplane by myself, packing my own parachute.

That is not a good idea. What's the third thing? Fear. It's always going to be present when you want change. When you begin a new adventure, it's always going to be present.

The cure is knowledge. Hmm. Let me come back to that second. When you know what you have, see your path forward, and have prepared as much as possible for the journey, you'll find yourself willing to go for it.

I wrote that paragraph down, so I said it right. But what about the knowledge thing? It's secure knowledge. The reason I stopped there was because we have so much knowledge now on AI.

But I got to tell you, if AI told me how to pack a parachute, would I do it and still jump out of an airplane? Hell, freaking no. I'm sorry for that little PG-13 there. Sometimes I get passionate about this stuff, you know?

What I want is wisdom. I want experience. I want somebody who's been there, done that, and not died jumping out of an airplane. That's what I want. And I think that's what it comes down to.

So when we have that growth mindset, we're going to expand it. You have to have that. So never lose the growth mindset, okay? And secondly, this is the biggest thing I can actually tell you right now.

Keep the peaceful pace. Maslow taught this so many years ago. You've got to have that foundation in place. The very base I give you will one day get you out of bed and you'll say, man, I love my base.

I don't want to mess it up, but it's about a mitchy. A mitchy, right? And finally, the fear is going to be there no matter what you do. So you want to make sure you have as much knowledge as you can, as much wisdom as you can get before you go do it.

That's... Listen, I'm not looking for clients right now. You can hire me if you want to or you can join my group, whatever. But I will tell you this. A lot of Noah's stuff, you're all over GPT and all that kind of stuff.

You've got all the knowledge in the world. But I can give you in about 30 seconds some wisdom that you can't get anywhere else. I can put two and two together and make it actually four. Even AI can't do that most of the time.

You've got to admit, humans have a few things. Yeah. Have you ever done ChatGPT and it seems like it makes sense, but it's wrong. Well, I said it. So if change is part of what you're thinking right now, and it is because you're human, it's never going to go away.

Now you have a couple of ideas how you might want to change that for yourself. We focus big time on that. Go to skwl.com slash faceyourpassion. That's school.com slash faceyourpassion.

Become a founder and let me help you through this.
