How are you? Well, happy, happy, happy Thursday. Come on in here. It is Thursday someplace. This is the Thursday Daily Boost, so it's Thursday everywhere in my view, right?

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right? It's Thursday somewhere. Today, there's something you've been holding off that you know. We're going to talk about what that is and get you to admit it.

I need a boost. I need a daily boost. I need a daily boost. It. Admit it. It is the Daily Boost. It's me, Scott Smith, hanging around, fiddle around, fool around, the boss of me, telling myself I can do whatever the hell I want to do because that's when you do it anywhere.

So do I, right? Gets me into tons of trouble and out of trouble. My mom asked me one day, or she said to me one day years ago, you know what? You can get yourself into anything, can't you?

I said, yeah, but I can also get myself out of anything, too, and that's the real superpower. I can teach you that, too. Good to have you. Thanks for coming in.

By the way, MotivationToMove.com is where my stuff is. I incorporated that company back in 2004 to do motivational and fitness work, and it has just stuck. I don't see a need to change it. Motivation is an incredibly important component of what we do.

We have to have it. Some people say, no, we don't need it. Yeah, right. You're going to cry in your beer every single night or talk to me on the phone and get motivated, right?

Which one is it going to be? I go with a beer for a couple of weeks, but eventually I'm just being honest, being real, right? So I was on my inner circle call this morning.

And my group encouraged me to do what I'm going to do right now. So give me a little bit of grace. It might take a minute or two to talk about this. I have not pitched you anything.

I've not sold you anything. I've not even told you to even send me an email for weeks now. Just doing my thing. Hope you're enjoying getting some stuff out of it, right?

But you probably have heard me talk about my inner circle. It's a very special room of professionals. We don't have bulldozer operators in there. Probably have owners of companies that own bulldozers, but we don't have the operator.

Most are our youngest is 30 and our oldest is 74. Average age, probably right around 50. And this is a group of people that are absolute professionals, absolutely have a career, absolutely looking for more impact in the world. But but we have a really tight connection and it's a really special place.

If you listen to this show and I and what I say vibes with you, not 100 percent, if I challenge you a little bit, if I get in your skin a little bit, but at the same time, you're like, man, I like the way he thinks.

That's what we do. We kind of take my thinking, bring it in, and then we add your thinking to it, and together we really, really thrive. It is so cool.

Love this group. So I decided, based on them asking me to do this, next week, I think on a Thursday, probably around 1 o'clock. I'll let you know officially here pretty soon, maybe next week. We're going to do a, what do we call it?

Let's call it a workshop. Let's call it an inner circle session. Let's just do a session. which is I kind of do a workshop with them. It's not a webinar.

It's not a sales thing. Listen, the type of person I want in the inner circle doesn't want to be sold on a webinar. You just want to know it's right for you. If it feels right, right?

Best way to know if it feels right is to jump into one. So next Thursday, we'll do one. I will tell you, probably run maybe an hour, maybe sometime. They usually run an hour and 15 minutes.

That's what I normally do. So we'll probably do that. Again, I'm not going to Buffalo. You're just going to do what we do. I will invite you in. You are welcome to join.

I'll tell you how to register next week. I will tell you this. We're taking a small group of people into the group. I'll tell you next week what that's going to be.

I will also tell you this, and I'll admit it. I won't tell you the price. If you know my pricing, I'm going to give you a 50% price reduction next week. Again, I don't want to have to sell you.

I don't want to do that. I don't want to send a ton of emails. I figure I'll find the people. If it makes sense to you, you're in. You'll know it. And if not, you'll know it.

Deal. All right. So pay attention to this podcast over the next few days. I won't talk like this again a bunch. Keep it short, but I will remind you. And then maybe I'll send an email and I'll tell you how to get registered.

Then we'll do it. And then you can come on in. Some good life changing stuff going on. So let's get into something here today that was kind of interesting.

And I don't even have a note in front of me. So maybe this is the best place to be. I'm just kind of thinking right now. So was it yesterday or the day before?

I'm talking about the ComB plan. I didn't invent that, by the way. Somebody else did. ComB. It's having the capability to do something. It's having the opportunity to do something or to create the opportunity, which is what we do around here, and the motivation to go do it.

And these all go together to get things to happen. So as you're trying to make change in your life, and I tend to focus on the change and what we call that Rubicon moment where we say, okay, I've decided what I'm going to do and we get into action mode. To me, that's the hardest thing to do. It's just to figure out what it is and then to get yourself that declarative statement that says, here I go.

And we jump into it. And after that, it's just kind of tactical and practical. That's where we work through stuff. And like on my inner circle, we give you the ideas.

It's not a teaching call like that, but we're working through things, the big problems. Give you the ideas, and then we support it via the motivation along the way to make sure you get it done. And if you've been along for the ride, if you've been alive for a while, just admit, sometimes it's hard to make up your mind with all the things you have to figure out, right? So this is ongoing.

Then there's 10 things you have to figure out right now in your life, and some are big and some are small. And then life gets in the way. Stuff happens. It's a deal.

And then deciding and then implementing and saying, I'm committing, here I go. That's hard to do. Just admit it. There's no quick fix to it. And I'm not going to play that game anymore because every life coach on the planet and every internet marketer on the planet will say, come on, we can do this in three days.

Screw that. You can't do it in three days. You know as well as I know. It's going to take months sometimes to do it. So just stop playing the game. Damn game.

That's what the inner circle does. So there are things going on. We're trying to get through change, trying to get this thing to happen. But one thing I've always known,

I've known this very early on in my coaching career. And I have, I started, I incorporated in 2004. I was actually doing coaching prior to that and doing fitness coaching and bootcamp coaching and things. So I had a lot of people involved.

We used to run classes of 150 people, a lot of experience dealing with groups. And that came into this. So I just known something. And very early on, here's what I learned.

I learned that you already know the answer. I know that sounds like, oh, yeah, man, that's kind of woo-woo stuff, right? Maybe. But here's why I knew it.

Because I would ask you a question about what you're trying to figure out or what you want to do. And you may not even be able to say it to me, but it was involuntary. There was a little muscular movement that happened in your face. And when I was standing in front of you, I could see it happen.

It's like you're holding back a smile. It happens in your mouth. It happens around your eyes. If you've studied NLP at all, you know what they do with the eyeballs and how they look and look up the downside and all that kind of stuff.

It happens. There's some very visual cues, but I'm talking about the ones that aren't so visual because you're smart and you guys have practiced holding your emotions in.

I don't want to say it. Don't want to admit it. Nope, nope, nope. And you're really good at it. And yet, man, I can see it. I've seen it forever. And you can probably see it too, but you know it for damn sure you know it, don't you?

So what I want to start with is that. There is something going on right now in your world. It could be your personal world. It could be your relationships.

It could be your job. It could be really, really right and you want to make a change. It could be really wrong. You know you need to make a change. You already know the answer.

But you're going to dance around and listen to podcasts and Have a bunch of discussions and fiddle around and eventually you're going to get there anyway. You will change when you wear yourself out. At some point, you'll do it.

Now, that's the way I've said it for years. You'll change when you wear yourself out. The scientific version of that is that we actually don't have a clock on it for how long it takes to get to that change. We'd like to.

We'd like to say you change in three days. We just don't have that. What happens is that you're just going through a process of kind of weighing what you don't like and what you do like, and eventually you're going to go to what you do like. That's what humans do.

And eventually the bad stuff's going to get so bad, you're just going to decide to make the change. Or maybe you're going to be silly and you're actually going to stay where you are.

We can't even explain that, but people do it to comfort zone probably, right? But eventually you're going to say, that's it, done, boom. It just takes time.

And that's not cool to talk about, man. in this day of instant gratification. But I got to tell you, I can change things instantly. I can get things done really, really fast.

I can help you do the same thing. But the big stuff, it's ongoing. And it just keeps on queuing up. It's like you make a decision today and you get more tomorrow.

If you're the kind of person who actually kind of says, yeah, I know I don't like that idea, But I know maybe you're the kind of person like this. I want to join Scott's Inner Circle to do this. I have this thing that I'm going to do.

I've got my spreadsheet. I've mapped this out. I talked to ChatGPT. This is what I'm going to get out of it. And you hold up the, you know, you got the defenses up.

I don't know. I'm not going to join. Who are these people? Will I get along? Is it a good time I could join? Why should I pay that money to that man? Podcast is free.

I don't need him. And then something goes. And you say, I'm going to do it. And right after you do it, you're like, you relax. You just take a breath.

And now it doesn't matter. The time doesn't matter anymore, does it? How many times has that happened in your life? I'm sorry he did that because that's like, well, let's use this example to pitch him into my inner circle.

Why not? I've been selling a long time. I can't help myself sometimes. But how many times have you done that? Big decision to sit in there. You don't want to make it good or bad.

You don't want to make it. And then one day you do and boom, everything's different. Thank God I got that over with. That's kind of how you get what you want.

That's called being human. And that's why things like this podcast and I'm getting more and more honest with you. If you notice, I'm not really structuring these shows much anymore. I don't give a crap.

I'm just being honest with you about what I hear every single day and what I see works when I do for myself. And that's it. And if you don't like that, go find somebody else that plays with the algorithm. I do not need you.

Don't want you around. I'm just going to say it. Why do I say that, by the way? Because if you hang around with people who are looking for something that's unrealistic that I got to do, I got to deliver unrealistic stuff to them to make them happy.

That makes me unhappy and it doesn't work for them. Eventually it makes them unhappy. No sense in freaking doing it. So I'm just evolving into kind of a, maybe I'm getting old and grumpy.

Maybe that's it. Get off my lawn. I actually said that the other day. It was awesome. But the problem is I said it because look at me, I'm seeing the old guy thing.

And as I said to my daughter, I said, hey, don't treat me like an old man. And I said, well, as long as I can pretend to do an old man voice, that means I'm not an old man yet. She goes, well, you just don't know it.

You have no idea how you're acting right. You're cognitively declining. I said, shut up. These kids, these days, what are you going to do? Anyway, so let me tell you a story.

I'm sorry. That's what I do sometimes, all right? A little conversation here. Darn it, I got 10 minutes to get on another call with Kim. Hi, Kim. So I'm talking to Dave the other day.

Was it Dave? No, no, no, no. It was Richard. I can use their names because there's other Daves and Richards and Kims on the planet, right? So I'm talking to Richard.

So Richard, hi. We had a long call. And now he slots in just before my inner circle call, which means I have a hard stop on that one. And I really hate that because I like to talk a lot.

And there's something I've learned over time. I have learned that when I'm talking to you or you or you or you or you, And we're making breakthrough after breakthrough, having great conversations. And that's what I am.

I'm a mirror to you, right? I'm a smart mirror. I'm an educated mirror. But I'm basically standing in front of you, reflecting back to you what you're saying.

But when it comes back to you, it's been distorted a little bit like one of them fun houses at the carnival. And you're like, wait a second. I didn't see that. That's kind of my job.

And I've gotten very good at it over the years. I've just done it. That's what happens when you do it like 20,000 hours worth. You get good at it. So we're talking, having a good conversation, going through all kinds of cool things, checking off the list because everybody has the list.

Smart people have the list. The smart people are the hardest. Have you noticed that? Are you really smart? You're difficult. You really are. Why? Because you've educated yourself.

You've got a lot of experience. You've got a lot of success. You know how life works. And then you get on the phone with me because there's something about it you haven't figured out yet, but you're so damn smart.

Well, you know what I mean? You're so smart, it's hard to get you to kind of let your guard down and admit what you don't know. That's cool. I'm the same guy.

Trust me. I'm very, very hard to coach because I do this all the time. I'm just like you. That's why the inner circle works so well, pitch, pitch, because we're all smart people and we all have these walls up and yet we let them down within a group of people we trust and we have strategies that are just very cool and you go, yeah, that makes sense.

Let's do that. No games. I'm telling you, there's no games. All right, so let me get to the point of this whole show today, which probably at this point seems like sell my inner circle, but it's not.

But it should be because that's what it should be doing because you should be in it. So I'm talking to Richard and I get to the end of the call and I got like two minutes to go.

And I got to dump it. I'm actually seeing people for my face your passion in a circle group start to say it again. And they're coming on the call. I see them showing up in the room.

I got them blocked out of that. I didn't let them in yet, but they're coming. I got to go, man. So finally, I say to Richard, I say, hey, man, listen, all the stuff we talked about today, everything.

There's probably something percolating inside your head about that. You know, you need to go do. I mean, I know we've talked about a lot, but I don't know. What would it be if you just knew if you had to do it?

What would it be? And in a second, and I will paraphrase this and not give away anything, he says, oh, that's easy. If I knew I didn't have to get approval for financials or management or things like that, I would just hire a CEO to run my entire practice and then I would do the stuff I'd like to do. In other words, he would hire an integrator to make it run.

He would be the operator doing what he loves to do and have time for everything else he loves to do. And this is the cool part. And if you stayed this long, catch this part.

I said, did you hear what you just said? He said, no. I said, repeat back to what you just said, like two seconds ago. He said, I don't know what it was.

I said, you said, if you didn't have to answer to somebody else, you would just hire a CEO and have them run your business so you could do what you want to do.

And his little smile comes out on his face. He's almost embarrassed. He's embarrassed by the fact that he had been thinking that and couldn't catch it. And this little mirror, this carnival mirror on the side caught it.

and reflected it back to him and reframed it back to him. And when he got it, I said, here's what you need to do. I will send you this transcript. We use Granola to transcribe the calls so I can very quickly, within about five or 10 minutes, I can send you this transcript really fast so he can see what he said.

And I sent him exactly what he said word for word. This was not me. This was not some coach, not some freaking podcast, not some self-help book anywhere. Garbage stuff, man.

This was you saying in your own words what you knew you needed to do to fix your own problem. And you wouldn't say it to yourself. You said it to me. So my question to you is, we've talked about a lot, haven't we?

You got a lot going on in your life. Have you figured out yet that there's just one thing or maybe ten things that you just know you need to do and you just haven't done it yet and maybe today's the day you start thinking about doing it?

I don't know. You can do what you want to do. I don't really care because, you know, we probably never meet. It doesn't matter to me. But truthfully, it does a little bit.

In case we do meet, there's a baby.
