What is happening? Come on in here. Happy, happy, happy, happy, happy Friday. Nice to have you here today. It is Independence Week, 4th of July. I think it's tomorrow.

I record my shows early, so I think it's tomorrow. That's what I think. All right. I'm glad you're here talking about freedom. It is the Daily Boost. Somebody said to me the other day, he said, Scott, I got all the freedom I want.

I got a big credit card limit. I said, oh, you naive person. Hey, trust me, I use credit cards a lot. I'm a good credit card user. I really am. My name is Scott Smith.

Good to have you here today. Thanks for stopping by spending this week talking about personal freedom. Now, why do I do this? Why do I do this right now?

And I actually meant to talk about this about four days ago. Not that it matters, but you might wonder, what's my motivation here? Well, every single year, and I've done this for many, many years, and some years I just kind of halfway do it, and other days everything changes. It's other times.

So I've always reasoned it like this. It's kind of like working out. People say, do you work out three days or four days a week? I say, well, I do four.

Oh, why do you do four? I said, well, it just kind of makes sense. There's seven days in the week. Four is more than three, and it's more than halfway there.

There's a better chance of me succeeding if I go four times than if I go three times. Just makes sense, right? So that's kind of how I look at it here.

So I look at stuff like that. I kind of look at natural. Like, lots of times, like in July, it's going to be very slow. Everybody's on vacation. Well, I don't know about you, but when you're busy doing your job, when you're busy working...

That's when people are around, right? And you can't get anything done. You have more time because you don't have any more time because it's all sucked up by all the stuff you have to do.

So my world's that way too. July is very slow. So I learned a long time ago that when July shows up, I just go do my own thing. I get busy. Why? You ready for it?

Because I don't get bugged by anybody. And when I say that, I say with a kind and loving way. It just means I don't have the interruptions going on. Emails are down.

Calls are down. People are on vacation. Scott got some time to do some stuff. And I learned this a long time ago. So I will do things when you all are doing something else.

I'll go ahead and do something I'm doing and I will change trajectory of my business in a matter of weeks. I'm not saying anything. Although maybe I am.

But I also noticed when we get into the first of July, we had January, February, March, April, May, June. That's six months, isn't it? How many months are left?

Six, half the year. We're halfway there. People have Christmas, they have Christmases halfway, Christmases and six months parties right now. It's coming fast.

How far have you come since your year started? And what could you do in the next half of the year? But I go a step further than that. And I do this in my daily awareness diary for myself.

I've done it for many, many years. At the end of June, I look and I say, do I have the freedom that I thought I had? Have I built something that is not giving me the freedom that I want?

Am I not doing the things that I want to do? Is something getting in the way? Have I been successful, but I don't have what I want? And the freedom that comes along with Independence Day and the celebration in this country reminds me to double check that.

It reminds me to say, if yes, keep doing what I'm doing. If no, now's a good time to change. And because we have all the celebrations, it's a big anchor for me. So it just hits me.

It's like, boom, here we go. That's why I do it this week. We spend a lot of time building the peaceful base to get ready for this. And that's the goal this week.

I've drilled that in all week long about the peaceful base and why you need it. It's also what most people don't want to do. Most people want to fix overnight really fast.

If anything, if you learn anything, you listen to a million podcasts you can listen to. You can read all the books you want to read. You can go to chat GPT all you want to and all great stuff and all great information.

But I'm going to go off on a limb here that you already know what to do. You already know what the problem is. You may not know the solution exactly, but you kind of know what's going on. You kind of know what you want to do, and you might need some help sorting that out.

And that's going to come down to you spending some time or having somebody who's got some wisdom that can help you sort it out. That's all that is. Man, freedom is such a great thing once you get it sorted out. But what do you do when you do get it sorted out?

What do you do when you've figured out the pattern? Oh, my God, this is it. I've got to change. Or maybe you say, but this is who I am. I'm not that person anymore.

And you've done what I told you success people will do. You cleared the deck. You didn't clear the clutter. You spent all your life just selling $10 items on Facebook.

My daughter does that, but she'll have Facebook marketplace. Dad, I'll sell it for you. It's no problem. I said, how much are you going to get? She said, maybe $10.

I said, just give it away. Take it down. Just give it away someplace. No, no, no, no, no. It's not freedom for me. We have yard sales often here. You know what freedom for me is?

I have fun negotiating. To me, it's fun. If you give me some entertainment value, I'm having a good time. Yeah, it's my stuff. I'm free to do what I want with it.

You give me some good time. I might even give it to you for free. You offer me 50 cents, but we had a good time. You might get it for a quarter. Don't entertain me.

Make me mad. Insult me. Push me too hard. I might charge you $200 for it. And you might never, I might throw it away before I give it to you. Spike, no.

I just decided I don't want to hang around people like that. And then they come into my life, I just try to move them out. That's all. I don't get mad.

I just, sorry, not my people, right? I'm just being honest with you, a straight talker with you. A lot of people won't understand this kind of thinking, but I'm telling you what, I'm telling you what, if you hang out with people who have freedom in their life, this is exactly what it is. And sometimes you'll find them to be rude because they'll walk away.

They won't do what you think they should be doing. They'll just do something else. Why would they ever do that? Because they've decided that they're not doing what you do.

That's all. Don't get mad. So what do you do when you build all these things up? What do you do? You have to activate your vision. Notice what I said there.

Activate your vision. I didn't say take action. I didn't say take massive action. I didn't say what we like better is massive and perfect action. You know why?

Because I know Tony Robbins said take massive action. Y'all did. You made a mess. You had so much to deal with. You stopped. I said, listen, just take massive and perfect action.

Then at least you don't care. Go make a mess and you clean it up later. And eventually I got to the point where I said, nah, let's not do that. Let's activate our vision.

Where did I get the word vision from? Years ago, I used to work as a television and film producer, a lot of radio stuff as well. Did a lot of work in the Orlando area, the film market, big into the Universal, Disney, all the stuff when they were doing that. Back in the 90s, early 2000s, I was there, offices, the whole thing.

I worked the industry in town doing just that. I was a producer director. And people would hire me to come in and they would say, hey, we want you to produce this show or this short film or this commercial or this industrial narration or whatever it happened to be. And they'd say, I said, great, I could do that.

And we'd talk about it. And in a meeting, we'd come up with a vision of what they wanted. The vision would be cast and they would agree. And usually I got the job because I probably gave them a couple of ideas they didn't have before.

And we agreed that, man, my ideas were good. We can do the job. They want to do it. We commit to it. They give me money, right? That's what happens. So, but when they give me money, what do I have to do?

If you've ever done film or television production, you know, it's just not me. If you do it right, it takes a lot of people. It's a crew that does this. A lot of people touch it.

You need creative people and the videographers, the cinematographers, you need the graphics, all the stuff. And if they don't have your vision in mind, you don't get the vision you promised your client.

If you don't have your vision from a peaceful base built up from there, and you don't keep that vision and activate that vision, you don't get it. So in the sense, when I was working with those clients, the vision was activated, frankly, to say it in a very, very weird way. The minute they gave me money, it activated the vision.

That was it. But to get more money, to get the final check, I had to hang on to that vision. Same thing for you. When you create the vision of what you create in your life, your job is to activate it so you go after it.

That's different than taking action. People find that boring. I don't know about you. When I activate a vision, I'm activating a goal. I'm activating something I'm passionate about.

When I activate a vision, I'm like, let's go do this thing. You don't have to motivate me. I'm going to do it anyway. So we activate the vision. It is a very, very powerful tool to think about.

Peaceful Base is a very powerful tool as well. Maybe next week what we'll talk about is goal setting and the anticipation engine a little bit more and go deep into that. You know why?

Because as fun as a peaceful base is, and everybody wants it, we want the sex appeal of the stuff we're going to get, don't we? So we can't have just a peaceful base without the other side of it, the stuff that's to come. Well, Scott, why would I work this hard to get this peaceful base if I'm just going to be boring and have money in the bank? Some people say, that's okay.

No, because you need something to work toward. Maybe money in the bank and being boring is your goal. Great, you succeeded. What if you wanted more than that?

That's why we have to put the other side to it. Put those two together and you are unstoppable and, might I say, happy. Fourth of July.
