Oh, my goodness. It's okay. It's a great time to be alive, really. If that's what they say, right? Good to have you. It is a daily boost from MotivationToMove.com, the positive boost you need every single day for nearly 20 years.
Almost 5,600 episodes. It just started one day when I said, hey, I think I'll do a daily podcast. Like Forrest Gump, I just run, Forrest, run. I just kept running.
That was it. And then one day I stopped. We don't know when we're going to stop yet, but I don't know. I don't know. There's no doubt about that. But it's confusing more than ever.
And so much propaganda and so much craziness out there. And it is what it is these days, right? So I don't know where you are. But I know most people want to take control of their life.
They want to build their business. They want to build everything around them. And there's no better time to do it than right now. I know it's a really interesting time of disruption.
All of us are confused trying to figure our way. What's happening in the world right now? I get it. If you're completely retired, you're probably the most sane people on the planet right now because you don't have to worry about it, right?
But everybody else has got to figure it out, which is kind of exciting at the same time because I think incredible opportunity exists, but man, you've got to keep your head in the game. You've got to stay plugged in.
So I'm kind of gravitating more toward helping you do that. If it's your first time, just understand that if you haven't met Scott yet, I got a wicked sense of humor. I can talk too fast sometimes. I am very practical in my approach.
And sometimes I think the best motivation is a kick in the ass. A good old come to Jesus conversation. If you need unicorn and rainbows, I'll give you a couple occasionally, but I don't have a ranch out back with all the unicorn and the rainbows over the top of it and things like that, right? We get real about life around here.
So if you're a real thinking person, you're going to love me. And if not, you're probably not going to like me and you're going to leave bad reviews about me and everything else. But at 20 years, I've got plenty of reviews of all kinds. It doesn't...
Sticks and stones, right? My Fisher Passion group is very cool. Sunday... At October 18th at 12 midnight, we shut down the Founders Special. I have to tell you, this group is really beginning to form.
It's taken a couple of weeks. They're starting to really come together. We're having some great conversations. You see them beginning to gel and ask questions and show up on the calls and get some really cool coaching.
It's really neat stuff. And, you know, I give them a lot of credit because they all showed up not knowing anybody. And I showed up thinking, I don't know what we're going to do here. And we're the third weekend and it's really coming together now.
So come on over, join us, faceyourpassion.com. If you don't like it, just say, hey, man, I don't like it. And I need my money back. We've had a couple of people quit.
We have. And they've said, yeah, it's not my thing, man. But thanks. Didn't even ask for their money back. I'd give it to them if they asked. But yeah, don't worry about that.
OK, come give it a try. Faceyourpassion.com. All right, a couple of questions for you today. Getting your head straight. I think it's most of what I do, not only for myself.
I mean, I spend a very large part of my time getting my head straight, giving myself my own advice. But most of the gig that I do when I'm talking to people on coaching, group coaching calls, individual coaching, business consulting, the things that I do, even some people that are working on the AI stuff that I'm helping them with, with AI and business automation, that kind of stuff.
It's all about getting your head straight and figuring out the first step, the second step, the third step. That's what it's all about. And so most of what I do does that. So that's what this is based on today.
So a couple of questions. You can jot these down if you want to. They're probably, they may be in the show notes today. I'm not sure if I said put it in the show notes, but if not, you can write these down.
You can do it or throw it in your AI and have it transcribe it. Come on, you know how to do that. What work do you want to be doing a year from now? Not your title.
The actual work do you want on your calendar? I made a choice this morning. I decided to do something that I decided not to do just yesterday. And then I went to sleep and I got up.
I said, yeah, you know what? The kind of thing I actually want on my calendar, this is what I want to do. What do you want to do? If you had to look at your calendar and say, I got to go do that.
Like, yes. By the way, that's my rule on my calendar. I want nothing but white space on my calendar. And if it takes a space, I want to be happy to be there to do the job, do the work I want to do.
What part of your job would you like to hand off? To a person, to a system, to AI? Free yourself and do the work you only want to do. This is a big deal.
It's hard to do, particularly if you're an entrepreneur, man. It's hard to hand stuff off if you think you're the only one that can do it, right? Trust me, you're not. Funny ways to get around it.
And I'm guilty as well. If you want it done, you've got to do it yourself, right? I get it. But we are living in a time right now where you can hand off so much.
And I'm beginning to really, really, I don't believe it, but live it. Because as I've gotten more into AI and really mastered using it as a tool that it is and not this fantasy thing, just a real tool, it has just freed up so much time and made the output better.
I don't think it's impacted the podcast. I really don't use it for the podcast at all. It maybe helps me research a few things. But for the most part, I don't use it.
Number three, what do you want your work to give you besides a paycheck? Wenn eine Frau sich online so präsentiert, muss sie sich über Dickpics und DMs nicht beschweren. Die soll sich freuen, dass Männer sie überhaupt... What do you want to give you besides a paycheck?
Freedom, respect, a challenge, a team you like? What is it? Have you even thought about that? I mean, work should give you a paycheck, and work basically is just work, right?
And some people see it that way. It's my job, and we just go do it. It's all about the paycheck, and I get it. Work is work. When you leave one day, they're not going to care.
Well, that's not true. I mean, a lot of people do, but for the most part, it's just a job, right? So I get it. But at the same time, if you're going to spend 8 to 10 hours a day at work collecting a paycheck,
Shouldn't it give you something else? Shouldn't you enjoy the work you do? Shouldn't it enjoy the people you work with? Shouldn't it have at least another level to it?
I think so. That's why I got in the business I do right now. I left what I thought I would love. I thought I would love radio for many years. And it just didn't resonate with me, just talking to myself in a studio.
So what I did was I started a podcast where I talked to myself in a studio. But at least I don't have to do it for anybody else. I just do it for you.
Who do you want to serve? You want to serve clients? You want to serve customers? You want to serve people you would happily work with? Or you'll want to have a bad day every day with people who just are yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck.
I think some people like that. I believe that. I like the toughest people on the planet make my day suck. I think people actually like that. I have no other explanation for why they do it.
But who do you want to serve? Tell you who I want to serve. I like to serve positive, upbeat people, people that want to be positive and upbeat, people that want to be leaning into their life. I don't like to serve grumpy people.
I don't like to serve people who just have bad attitudes. I don't survive that. I don't like to serve pushy people. I like to serve nice people, nice relationship.
I like to look at my calendar knowing I have a phone call to get on, and I really enjoy the conversation. Who do you want to serve? Now, it goes deeper than that for me, but that's where I landed right there, okay?
What do you want to be known for? If someone describes you as a colleague, what do you want them to say? I've struggled with this over time. Ultimately, I'm being known as a guy that has the Daily Boost podcast.
If I work with you as a coach, I'm known as something else. Don't really care. I guess I would like to be known for the fact that I've helped a lot of people, had some impact on the world, and just kind of did what Scott did. Just got up and followed my heart and went after it.
And because of that, I've impacted millions of people around the world via the podcast. Didn't want it at the time, but it became what I wanted. What skill would change everything if you got good at it this year? In 2026.
Standing still is falling behind. So what skill do you need to get good at? I think the obvious one, obviously, is obvious one, obviously, obviously AI. You need to get good at it.
A lot of versions of that, a lot of things you can do with it. And I think that's really confusing to people, but not, you got to get good at it. You got to learn it. In my Fisher Passion group, I can see that's happening.
I see people with a very rudimentary skill set with AI. They got the free version of ChatGPT. Maybe they just stepped at 20 bucks now and they barely use it. To them, it's just a Google engine.
And so maybe that's what you need to get good at. Maybe it's something else. Maybe there's something else you need to do. Maybe you need to get good at, you know, washing cars because you want to be a detailer.
I don't know. But what skill would change everything if you got good at it this year? Not average, good. Another question. Man, running long today. I hope that's okay.
Who do you want to spend your time with at work and when you're away from work? Who fills you up and who drains you? I'll tell you what I do, and I've had this for many years, probably 40 years, I guess, this same attitude.
I put a lot out. I have zero time for anybody who drains me. People drain me anyway. So when I look for it, it just happens. When I'm doing my work, obviously, this podcast will drain me some because I'm digging, right?
But when I get emails from really cool people, Just nice. They don't have to say anything good about me at all. They don't have to give me compliments or thank me or anything, but I can just feel in their heart and see in their email and get them on the phone, the whole thing.
And they're just good people. They pump me up. I grab energy from those people. So what do I do? I seek out those people. And you know what happens when you seek out those people?
It's not going to take very long. Very shortly, in a couple of weeks, couple of months, maybe you're just not going to hang out with anybody who sucks the energy out of you.
Those vampires can go away. How much money do you want to earn, save, or invest? Real numbers, not vague goals. I see a lot of people doing that. They just had kind of vague things.
How much money do you actually want to earn that's real? Are we talking about people? Is it this week's show? It could be this week. It could be this week.
I'm kind of a week ahead in my prep here right now. Uh-oh. Lost my place there. A lot of people think they have to earn more than they actually have to earn.
This arbitrary number that's way out there. It's not true. I'll show you how to do the math when we get to that show. But you can decide right now how much you want to earn.
When you're off, what do you do to actually disconnect? You're scrolling, you're playing games, you're with your family, your friends. I play with my dogs a lot. I spend a lot of time with my wife.
We go to movies. I like to read. I go to the gym. Very chill. I don't do anything really fancy. I've learned over time that I just kind of like my time.
What do you do to stay healthy and enjoy everything you've got going on? Success doesn't mean anything if you're too worn out to use it. You're sleeping well, you're going to the gym, you're eating right, all that fun stuff. And it is fun, by the way.
It's kind of weird to me. Sometimes people are like, I'm so tired. I feel so bad. Well, go to the gym and eat right. Oh, no, I don't want to do that. Okay.
You hear what I just said? Okay. That's usually my answer. I'm a guy who's worked with so many people, and I say, okay. What do you mean, okay? You're a coach, Scott.
You're supposed to motivate and inspire. Okay, you said that's what you wanted to do. I tested it. I validated it. You said you feel bad. You said you feel unmotivated.
You said you don't want to do anything, and yet you're not willing to stay healthy enough to actually do the things you want to do. Okay. I can't talk you into that stuff.
You're a bad coach. Maybe so. Maybe so. But you know what? Sometimes when I respond like that, they wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning. The next day, they go to the gym.
Okay. Don't you hate it when somebody does that to you? I know, I know, I know. Listen, a couple of questions. Use that. Some wisdom behind that as well.
I give it out every day at faceyourpassion.com. Join my group before those prices go up, before you get locked out, and before you don't have the chance to be my best friend anymore.
I'm kidding. Not really.
